Michael is a second generation family wealth advisor serving business-owning families. Marty, his father, started the wealth advisory practice in 1973; he also served many family owned businesses. Michael is the father of seven, grandfather of two, and he is married to Victoria, a special education teacher in the Pittsford School district. Michael has three siblings and four nephews.
Michael has over 18 years of experience in the financial services industry and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Rochester. He has earned the Certified Business Exit Consultant and Chartered Financial Consultant designations. Michael is also on the Board of Directors at Wayne Cooperative Insurance Company, a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, the National Federation of Independent Businesses, and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
Michael and his family have been celebrating Palumbos Family Vacation (PFV) every July for over 20 years. Each year, all of Michael's siblings and their families gather to connect and strengthen their familial bond. During family holidays the family brings out the Beads of Gratitude; a long string of beads that are randomly passed from person to person. Then, each family member shares what they are most grateful for.
Michael loves scuba diving and has, ever since his certification in 1983. He has gone on over 75 deep sea dives (it'd be more if he lived near the ocean). His favorite dives were in Hawaii with the manta rays and in the Bahamas with 50 reef sharks.
Michael is a huge fan of entrepreneur, Elon Musk. He researches Elon's next move or what's going on with Tesla or Space X at least once a week. In 2020, Michael finally bit the bullet and purchased his Tesla Model S....it was a goal he set for himself over five years earlier.
